The Code of Chivalry Quest

A Quest of Honor, Courage & Chivalry

In an age of kingdoms, knights, and royal courts, honor was measured not only by strength, but by courage, loyalty, courtesy, and service to others.

At the 2027 Two Rivers Renaissance Faire, Mary, Queen of Scots calls upon young adventurers to prove themselves worthy through the Honor Bound: Code of Chivalry Quest.

Journey between the neighboring realms of Scotland and England, meet their people, explore their customs, and discover what it truly meant to live by a code of chivalry.

Through living history, hands-on activities, and encounters throughout the village, questers will learn about Renaissance life while completing challenges of knowledge, courage, kindness, and honor.

Thy Quest Instructions

Begin thy journey at the Quest Booth near the Faire entrance, where thou shalt receive thy quest guide.

Follow the quest throughout the Faire grounds and seek each marked stop. At every location, complete a challenge, answer a question, or discover something about Renaissance life.

Receive the mark or seal from each quest stop to prove thy progress.

Once thy quest is complete, return with thy finished guide to be recognized as one who has upheld the Code of Chivalry.

The Code Thou Shalt Follow

Along thy journey, remember the virtues of a true knight:

• Courage – Face each challenge with bravery.

• Courtesy – Treat all within the shire with kindness and respect.

• Honor – Be truthful and keep thy word.

• Loyalty – Stand faithfully beside thy companions.

• Generosity – Help those in need.

• Service – Use thy talents for the good of others.

These virtues shall guide thee through each challenge along the quest.

Journey Through Scotland and England

Within the Faire, the neighboring realms of Scotland and England will both be brought to life.

Visit the Scottish court and its people, then cross into the English village, represented by the Tamsynbrooke Guild.

Along the way, questers may encounter nobles, villagers, craftspeople, guards, and other characters who will share pieces of Renaissance history and daily life.

Listen closely, ask questions, and observe the world around thee—what thou learnest may help complete thy quest.

Earn Thy Honor

Those who successfully complete the quest will receive a special prize and the opportunity to be recognized for their courage, knowledge, and chivalry.

A Knighting Ceremony will be held daily in the Royal Court for those who successfully complete their quest.

Completed quests may also be turned in at the Quest Booth until the end of each Faire day to claim thy reward.

Seek the Quest Booth near the Faire entrance, collect thy guide, and set forth upon thy adventure.

Travel between two realms. Meet their people. Complete thy challenges. Learn the ways of the Renaissance.
